What nobody loves is the hassle that comes with it, the lackluster technology, and the lack of choice  and portability.

But all that is about to change.

Bamboom is a big, bold new technology rooted in three basic principles:

Free over-the-air broadcast TV should be available to anyone within the service area  of a channel.

Consumers should have the freedom to choose when and where they watch whatever they want to watch, on whatever device they want to watch it.

Smart technology and magical design can overcome the obstacles preventing consumers  from reaching that goal.

With Bamboom technology, you break free from the typical TV experience. Free from restrictive and expensive TV packages. Free from wires and boxes and bland technology. Your TV becomes mobile, just like the rest of your life. TV is social, even when you’re alone. And it’s all wrapped up in an elegant and easy-to-use experience that can work on the devices you already have.

How it Works

Bamboom offers a new and unique way to receive free, over-the-air television broadcasts — all without new hardware, complicated set-up, or high monthly bills.

Bamboom’s solution is quite simple, really, yet incredibly complex.

Your antenna, your tuner, your DVR — all those things that clutter up your living room — we make them disappear.

We shrunk the antennas down to an amazingly small size. We’re not kidding; these things are really, really tiny. We can pack hundreds of thousands of them in a small space in a secure location in your city. From there, they are connected to the Cloud by a really big fiber connection and accessible by you from any connected device you choose.

As a Bamboom member, you are assigned your very own teeny-tiny HD antenna. It’s exclusively yours; no one else can use it. When you want to watch live TV, your miniature antenna acquires the signal and processes it in real-time, so you can pipe it through the Cloud for your private viewing. If you want to record something, you can save the signal to your dedicated storage space in the Cloud so you can watch it later. You can even start watching on one device and continue later on another.

But that’s not all.

We know people love movies, too. So we’ve integrated Netflix to make its huge library of streaming movies and TV shows available alongside your broadcast TV channels.

People love Facebook and Twitter. So we’ve built them right into the experience as well. You can chat with friends about the show you’re both watching or just keep up with your social stream while you watch the game.

People love finding new things to watch. So we’ve built a slick, incredibly easy-to-use interface that makes it simpler than ever to find the programs you love as well as new favorites you haven’t yet discovered. You can find shows based on others’ recommendations or explore the vast world of television in an immersive, mind-blowing experience.

People love their iPads and smart phones and connected TVs. So we’ve built the technology to work on all kinds of devices, enabling you to access your content through specialized user interfaces designed for the way each device works best.

People love to travel. So we’ve made it easy to access your recorded shows from wherever you are.
